New Outlet Mall In Thornton Announces Shops
THORNTON, CO – In the face of the e-commerce revolution and Amazon’s “retail apocalypse,” developers north of Denver have been constructing a brand new 330,000 sq. ft. brick-and-mortar shopping mall at Interstate-25 and 136th Avenue, about 15 miles north of downtown – and it’s enormous.
Denver Premium Outlets will open its first stores in September, Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group announced. The project plans a total of 80 retailers. The company, billed as among the world’s largest owners and operators of shopping malls, also owns two malls in Lakewood: Colorado Mills and Denver West Village (home of Casa Bonita).
The retail outlets will feature merchandise at 25-65 percent off, the company promised.
The first stores that will open are a mix of fashion, shoes and sports outlets, with one jeweler. According to the company they are:
- kate spade new york
- Michael Kors
- Coach Outlet
- American Eagle Outfitters
- A|X Armani Exchange
- ASICS
- Banana Republic Factory Store
- BOSS-Hugo Boss
- Converse
- Cole Haan Outlet
- Gap Outlet
- Guess Factory Store
- Helzberg Diamonds
- Johnston & Murphy Factory Store
- Nike Factory Store
- Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store
- Skechers
- Under Armour
The company announced that the mall would feature public spaces “designed to be a community hub for the area, offering scenic grassy spaces to relax or picnic, architectural shade structures with comfortable soft seating arrangements, water features, a fireplace for chilly evenings and an interactive play experience for children.”
