Today, the Thornton City Manager has issued an Emergency Regulation which will help facilitate the prompt re-opening of Thornton restaurants and liquor licensed businesses once the governor and state health department enact new orders and guidance for these businesses. Thornton businesses will be required to follow the direction of the state orders and guidance. Thornton’s Emergency Regulation does not create an exception to the State’s pending public health order. By issuing this Emergency Regulation now, Thornton is making it as quick and efficient as possible for restaurants and liquor licensed businesses to again begin serving their customers. Businesses have the ability to expeditiously receive conditional approval to modify their liquor licensed premises.
