Need business help during COVID-19?
The City of Thornton has launched the Alliance/Alianza Business Assistance Center to support and help local businesses in Thornton and the surrounding communities, as they survive and recover from COVID-19. We are now open, so stop in and check out the new center and services available. The Alliance Center is designed with extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, face masks, temperature checks, and social distancing are required.
The center is located at 550 E. Thornton Pkwy., Suite #170 (click to open in Google Maps). An official ribbon cutting event and several open houses will be held in October to introduce the new center. All services are free and available to both English- and Spanish-speaking business owners. Hours are Monday–Friday 9am–5pm.
FREE services and benefits include:
- Co-working and meeting space (small and large)
- WiFi and use of laptops and technology
- 1:1 Business counseling with our nationally-recognized business partners
- New business workshop content related to COVID-19 recovery (in English and Spanish)
- Current information related to statewide COVID-19 resources and regulations
- Technical assistance when applying for COVID-19 business loans and grants (City, County and State funds)
- Marketing support
“Alliance/Alianza Thornton Business Assistance Center is a network of private, public and non-profit small business resource providers,” says Thornton Local Business Administrator Robin Martinez. “We are proud to partner with Mi Casa Resource Center, North Metro Denver Small Business Development Center, SCORE Counseling and Mentoring, Colorado Minority Business Office and many more. Each of our partners are bringing the best of their services and programming together to offer a one-of-a kind service for businesses located in the North Metro Area. The center is designed to safely help business owner’s navigate and access the many resources and services available during COVID-19 as well as build a recovery plan for their individual business needs.”
The center was funded from the COVID-19 CARES Act and Thornton City Council.
