If you haven’t heard, Thornton launched its own chamber of commerce on February 1. Thornton has been—and will continue to be—part of the Metro North Chamber of Commerce (MNCC), an organization that serves 13 cities.
Businesses who join the Thornton Chamber, which will operate as a branch of the MNCC, will automatically receive a complimentary membership in the MNCC.
Gregg Moss, the chief executive officer for the Metro North Chamber, and his staff will serve as the Thornton Chamber’s staff.
The Thornton Chamber will work with local partners, including the City of Thornton’s economic development team, as well as the Businesses of Thornton Advisory Commission.
To celebrate the genesis of the Thornton Chamber, you’re invited to join us for our launch party on May 16 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The free event, which will be held at North Valley Tech Center, 500 E. 84th Ave. in Thornton, will include networking, food, entertainment and prizes! Questions can be directed to Laray Stone at laray@metronorthchamber.com.
The Thornton Chamber’s opening is just in time to welcome some big economic development and retail projects including the 330,000-square-foot Denver Premium Outlets mall currently being constructed at 136th Avenue off I-25, Amazon’s 2.4-million-square-foot fulfillment center at 144th Ave & I-25; Summit Entertainment at 144th Ave & Washington, and Topgolf at I-25 & Hwy 7.
