City of Thornton Food Truck Certification Events

Drive Up • Get Inspected • Get Registered

Calling all food truck owners! The City of Thornton is hosting a one-stop, drive-through style Food Truck Inspection & Registration Event, designed to make it easier and faster for you to get fully certified to operate in Thornton.

What You Can Complete at the Event:

Our coordinated, on-site team will help you complete:

  • City Fire Inspection
    • Ensure your equipment meets all required safety codes.
  • City Licensing Check
    • Staff will review your materials and confirm you’re on track for city approval.

What You Need to Bring:

To participate, please arrive with the following items already completed or in progress:

  • County Health Inspection – must be completed
  • City Sales & Use Tax Business License application – must be started (not required to be finalized)

Note: Both county and city approvals are required for food trucks operating in Thornton, including festivals and events.

Event Details:

Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge – Parking lot on the NW corner of Grant St & Russell Blvd
Cost: $75 permit fee

Registration encouraged but not required.
