Calling all food truck owners! The City of Thornton is hosting a one-stop, drive-through style Food Truck Inspection & Registration Event, designed to make it easier and faster for you to get fully certified to operate in Thornton.
What You Can Complete at the Event:
Our coordinated, on-site team will help you complete:
- City Fire Inspection
- Ensure your equipment meets all required safety codes.
- City Licensing Check
- Staff will review your materials and confirm you’re on track for city approval.
What You Need to Bring:
To participate, please arrive with the following items already completed or in progress:
- County Health Inspection – must be completed
- City Sales & Use Tax Business License application – must be started (not required to be finalized)
Note: Both county and city approvals are required for food trucks operating in Thornton, including festivals and events.

Location: HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge – Parking lot on the NW corner of Grant St & Russell Blvd
Cost: $75 permit fee
