If you haven’t been to Lisa Ann’s Country Cupboard Bakery in Thornton yet, you’re really missing out. The cinnamon rolls alone make it worth your time, but there’s plenty more to choose from.
Located at 12400 First St., Lisa Ann’s owner, Lisa Walter, puts a strong focus on fresh ingredients and old-fashioned hospitality. There’s a fun “Gone With the Wind” theme throughout and the environment is cozy and comfortable.
In addition to the cinnamon rolls, some of the most-loved menu items are the carrot cake, caramel rolls, Dutch apple pie, snickerdoodle cookies, pumpkin muffins, strawberry rhubarb pie, sticky buns, cupcakes, peanut butter balls and double chocolate cookies.
There’s a small patio to enjoy your treat outside when the weather is nice, and Lisa is quite well known for her catering orders so make a note for your next party! The cozy atmosphere and friendly customer service make Lisa Ann’s one of Thornton’s favorites
Although her talent may be for baking, the customer service part also comes quite naturally for Lisa. In an interview with the Denver Post a few years ago, she says her favorite part of the job is meeting customers because she loves being able to talk to them and connect with them. It certainly shines through in her service.
